Reny Family Steven Reny, Audrey Epstein Reny, Olivia Tomeo, Danielle Reny, and Kyle Larrow were among 34 Stepping Strong runners who powered through cold and rainy conditions at the 119th Boston Marathon.

Dear ,

We are thrilled to report that on April 15, the Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Fund surpassed the $4.2 million fundraising mark. It was an incredible milestone to achieve on a meaningful day—the two-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings. We are so grateful for the continued outpouring of generosity that is enabling us to make a real difference in transforming trauma care.

We are also excited that we continue to engage the broader community in our mission. Among our partners and supporters:

  • An amazing group of 120 B.A.A. 5K runners, who kicked off marathon weekend by raising more than $42,000.

  • 34 members of the Stepping Strong Marathon Team, who ran 26.2 miles in the rain, raising more than $450,000.

  • Hundreds more who attended fundraising events at The Beehive, Marathon Sports, Storyville, Nix’s Mate, Fly Wheel, and Solas.

The Stepping Strong Fund was again featured on local and national media during this marathon season, creating much-needed awareness about funding trauma research and care. Even celebrity Mindy Kaling wore her Stepping Strong t-shirt on Marathon Monday, posing in a photo and sharing it on social media.

With your continued support, we are well on our way to achieving our vision of endowing the Stepping Strong programs in perpetuity. Thanks once again to each and every one of you for helping us turn tragedy into hope for countless trauma patients.

With love and gratitude,

Audrey, Steven, Danielle, and Gillian

P.S. It’s not too late to support the Stepping Strong Marathon Team!
