How you can help
BOSTON MARATHON RELIEF EFFORTS
In the wake of the Boston Marathon tragedy, Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) has received an outpouring of support and inquiries about how to help in the aftermath. Below are several ways to support the victims and their families:
Donate Blood or Platelets
Thanks to generous volunteer blood donors, there is currently enough blood on the shelves to meet patient need. We ask those interested in donating blood or platelets to schedule a donation in the coming weeks to help us replenish and maintain our supply. To schedule an appointment, please email blooddonor@partners.org with your preferred donation type (blood or platelets), days you prefer to donate, and your phone number. You may also schedule a blood drive in your community or at your business by emailing blooddonor@partners.org or calling 888-LETS-GIV (538-7448).

Our runners faced unspeakable tragedy and sadness on Marathon Monday when they witnessed terror on Boylston Street or were diverted from the finish line and unable to immediately determine the safety of their friends and families. If you would like to extend words of support to the runners, please post a message to the Team Stork Facebook page.
